Privacy

Folded for You is a free paper studio made by Creations by Tassh ("we"). We are responsible for your data on this site. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to it.

What stays on your device

To remember your work, the app saves a few things in your browser's local storage: the pieces on your shelf, the name you last signed a gift with, and whether sound is on. This is needed for the app to work, so no consent banner is needed. It never leaves your device unless you send a gift. You can wipe it any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Gift links

When you wrap your shelf, the names, your note and the list of pieces are packed into the link itself, after the # sign. Browsers never send that part of a link to a server, so we never see or store it. Anyone you give the link to can read it. So can the app you send it with, for example a messaging app. Only write what you are happy for the link to carry. To take a gift back, simply don't share the link. We never had a copy.

Server logs

Like every website, our server briefly records technical details of each visit: IP address, browser type, time and the page asked for. We use them only to keep the site safe and running. They are overwritten automatically after a short time. We do not use them to identify you or build profiles.

No third parties

Fonts, the 3D engine and all pictures come from our own server. There are no analytics, social plugins or advertising networks. The "Send the link" button opens your phone's own share menu, so we don't see where you send it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also complain to your data protection authority. Since almost everything lives on your own device, there is usually nothing on our side, but write to us and we will check.

Children

Everyone is welcome to fold. Children under 16 should ask a parent before sending gift links.

Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Creations by Tassh, including its founder ("we", "us"). By opening, using or sending anything with Folded for You, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The service

Folded for You is offered free of charge. We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time, without notice and without liability.

2. Digital products and refunds

Everything in Folded for You is digital content that is delivered immediately. If we ever offer paid digital content, by buying it you ask for delivery to start straight away and you confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery has started (EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m)). All sales are therefore final and non-refundable, including for change of mind, mistakes in what you entered, or no longer wanting the content. This does not affect the rights the law always gives you if a product is faulty and we cannot fix it.

3. Provided "as is"

The app, the folding guides, the 3D models and everything else are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes, without limit, warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, being free of errors or bugs, and fitness for a particular purpose. Guides and diagrams are simplified and may contain errors.

4. Your data and your content

You alone are responsible for everything you type or send, including names and notes, and for it being correct, lawful and yours to share. We do not check it. We are not responsible for wrong, misspelled, incomplete or misleading information you or anyone else enters, for who you send a link to, or for what other people do with a link. Your shelf is stored only on your own device: we keep no backups and are not responsible if it is lost, for example when browser data is cleared or a device is lost or changed.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app for anything unlawful, hurtful, harassing or fraudulent, not to send other people's private details without their permission, and not to copy, scrape, overload, attack or reverse engineer the app.

6. Real paper, scissors and children

Folding real paper is done at your own risk. Some guides use scissors: cut carefully and supervise children. Small paper models are not toys for babies or toddlers, as small parts can be a choking hazard.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage, or for any loss of data, content, profit, goodwill or opportunity, arising from or related to the app, even if we were told such loss was possible. To the same extent, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. For free use that amount is zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Creations by Tassh and its founder against any claims, damages, losses and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, the content you enter or send, or your breach of these terms or of the law.

9. Other services

Links you share pass through other services, such as messaging apps, email and browsers. We have no control over them and are not responsible for them.

10. Our work

The design, code, illustrations, paper patterns and 3D models belong to Creations by Tassh and are protected by copyright. You may share screenshots and gift links for personal use. Any other copying, reuse or resale needs our written permission.

11. Disputes

If something goes wrong, please contact us first and give us 30 days to sort it out. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia, and the competent court at our seat has jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may also use your local courts.

12. General

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force and the invalid part is replaced by the closest valid wording. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. These terms and the privacy section above are the whole agreement about the app. We may update them at any time: the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the app means you accept it.
